A lonely fishing weir sits off the shores of Canada’s Grand Manan Island.
Rockport, Massachusetts – The Wharf

Supposedly, the red building in the background is the most photographed building in Rockport, MA. I believe it – just check out the town’s Wikipedia article. But this sunset photo was too good to pass up. The combination of buoys, boats, and buildings created a wonderful explosion of reds, whites, and blues.
New Zealand – Lake Te Anau

I was not fond of this picture when I first saw it on screen, and I nearly discarded it completely. But after taking a second to really think about it, I realized why I disliked it. This picture leaves me with a profound sense of unease. I don’t like how the dock floats on such strange looking floats. I don’t like the lonely and abandoned boat. I don’t like the looming clouds on one side and the harsh sun on the other.
After a second look, I realized I liked this picture. I like it because it creeps me out.
