Palace of Culture and Science, Warsaw, Poland
A 3-shot HDR photo of the very top of the Palace of Culture and Science, formerly the Joseph Stalin Palace of Culture and Science. The building was constructed by Stalin as a gift to the Polish people, giving it the nickname “The Gift of Stalin.” Because it’s a reminder of the Soviet occupation, the building is not particularly popular. Architecturally, it looms over Warsaw like an evil spirit of misplaced design.
I took this photo at the end of a rainstorm when a cloud happened to pass over the tip of the tower creating this eery effect.
